Photography 4 Contact Sheet/Print Assignment

    The strongest technical aspect of my work would be my print because its the image on the large piece of paper and it shows the image clearly. It contains black, white and gray. The strongest technical aspect that can be improved on is maybe making the print a little lighter.

    The easiest thing about this art activity was taking the pictures for the assignment. It was the easiest because we could be creative with taking the pictures and you could do whatever you wanted to if it looked interesting. The most difficult thing about this art activity was making the test strips and seeing what f stop to put it on.

   I demonstrated the objective for this project by making the test strips, contact sheets and the print of the negative that came out the best. If I could do this art activity again I would change the border around the image to make there be less white and more of the image itself.

Photography 4 Coffee Camera

    The strongest technical aspect of my work is the 5x7 image because it has black gray and white in it. The picture is of Brian standing in front of a brick building. The picture was taken from a coffee camera which we had to make. The technical aspect that can be worked on is the test strip because the test strip fell a little.

   The easiest thing about this art activity was making the images in the coffee camera. The most difficult thing about this art activity was trying to position the paper to make sure it got the whole body. Also making sure that no light got exposed to the paper before it got put in the camera.

   I demonstrated the objective by having gray, white and black in the coffee camera pictures and knowing how long to have light shine on the image. If I could do something over again I would change the angle of the pictures and make sure they are positioned in the right place.

Photography 4 Assignment 5

   The strongest technical aspect of my work would be the symmetry photogram. Its the strongest because it is the photogram that came out the most clear and is the best represents the three values that we have been working with; Black, gray, white. The technical aspect that can be most improved on is the landscape photogram because it could've  came out a lot better. It got a little messed up from the transition from the class room to the dark room. 

   The easiest thing about this art activity was finding the magazine picture to make the magazine photogram. It was the easiest just because you just had to find an image that had pictures on both sides. The most difficult part was moving the landscape into the dark room my image got messed up and moved around.1

   I demonstrated the objective by having black, gray, and white in my photograms. Black means there was a high exposure to light. White means no exposure of light to the photogram. And gray means that there was a little light that was exposed to the photogram. If I did this art activity again I would change the landscape picture because it got moved around. 

Photography 4 Assignment 4

    The strongest aspect of my work is the polaroid placement. Its the strongest aspect because thats what you see when you look at the picture that is the main focus. The  technical aspect of my work that can be improved on is the background color and maybe use a filter over it or even position the polaroids differently so you can see more of the back.

   The easiest thing about this art activity was making the background for this project. It was easy because I could pick the colors that I wanted and make it however I wanted. The most difficult thing about this art activity is placing the polaroids to where it would look good and compliment the picture and the other polaroids.

   I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by placing the polaroids in different places and making it look as if there was polaroids thrown down on a table and making an image. I feel as if I accomplished the objective for this project. If I did this project again then I would change the background and the colors in it.

 

Photography 4 Assignment 3

 The strongest aspect of my work is getting all of the freckles and blemishes away. I think its the strongest aspect because before her face had so many freckles before and now she has a clean smooth face. The technical aspect of my work that can be improved on is I could of used a different color for the eye shadow to compliment the lip color but instead I kept it a pink color to match the lips.

  The easiest thing about this art activity was painting the lips. It was easy because I just had to pick a color and paint it on then use the hue filter to make it blend in to look like lipstick. The difficult thing about this art activity was getting rid of all the freckles and blemishes and smoothing her face out.

  I demonstrated this art activity by using the healing tool to get rid of blemishes and freckles and any bad parts on her face. If I could do this art activity again I would change the color of the lips i painted. I might use a darker purple for the lips or even another shade of pink.

Artist Reflection

  The strongest aspect in my work is the pink flower. Its the strongest aspect because its pink and the rest of the image is black and white. The aspect that can be improved is maybe adding some light pink color into the background. 

  The easiest thing about the art activity was painting the color back onto the flower. It was the easiest  because all you had to do was paint in the flower. The difficult part of this art activity was nothing it was pretty easy. 

  I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by desaturating the picture and screen shooting it than painting the color back onto the image. If I could do the art activity again I would change where I colored the picture in and maybe paint another flower. 

Photography 4 Assignment 1

  The strongest aspect of my work would defiantly the flowers. I think the flowers because they are the main focus of the picture and the color is a bright pink and it draws you to the picture. An aspect that can be improved in my art work is the sky because it is kind of plain. It is a nice shade of blue and its vibrant there just needs to be more going on in the sky.

  The easiest thing about this activity was taking the picture itself. Its a nice picture of flowers and it was an easy picture to take. The difficult thing about this art activity was painting the picture and trying to see what filters would look good with the picture and each object in the picture.

  I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by painting all the objects in the picture and making them brighter and more vibrant and i used positive color like bright pink, bright blue, and bright green to make all the colors pop. If i could do this art activity again, I would change the colors of the flowers to maybe a lighter pink.

  The strongest aspect of my work is my hair because I bended colors together to get a similar color to mine. I blended a yellow and a darker yellow together. The aspect of work that can be changed is maybe the color of the pants because the color is not blended all the way and the pockets and the colors could of been more closer to actual jean colors.

  The easiest thing about this art activity is coloring the image. That was the easiest because you could choose whatever colors you want to make your cartoon. The difficult part about this project was doing the lines and outlining it in illustrator. It was the most difficult because you had to bend and move the lines with the anchor points that you make you don't rely on other anchor points you have to make them yourself.

  I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by in illustrator I outlined by drawing that I made by hand. I used it by having to plot my own anchors to connect other lines and than to make curves. If i could do this art activity again I would change the colors and the shape of the eyes. I made the eyes two different shapes but it is okay it looks fine. I would change the colors because I could make my shirt different colors and also my pants.

The strongest aspect of my work is the turtle body. It's the strongest aspect because it is the base of the rest of the body, the dog head and dog tail. An aspect that can be improved on is the blending of the tail into the turtle body. It can be improved on because its not blended very well.

The easiest thing about this project was picking the animals that you wanted and playing with them to see how it could be good together. The most difficult part of this project was trying to get them to blend nicely together. It was hard to get a color that would match the turtle skin for the dog head so the dog head wasn't white and so it didn't look weird.

I demonstrated the objective by using the stamp tool and the healing brush. I used the stamp tool by copying the eye from the turtle and put it on the dog head to make it look like the dog has turtle eyes. I also used the stamp tool for taking the print of the turtles neck and I put it on the dog neck and blended it together to make it look realistic. I used the healing brush by painting the cheetah print on the turtle shell.

  The strongest aspect of my work is the dolphin that I painted. I think it is the strongest because I had to paint the Dolphin just based off of the regular picture. The aspect that can be improved in my digital painting is the ocean in the back, it looks cool but I feel like there could be more of a ocean ripple pattern in it that could make it look more realistic.

  The easiest thing about this project was absorbing the color with the eyedropper tool. It was the easiest because all you had to do was absorb color from the original picture than you used mixer brush tool and blended the colors together. The most difficult part of this project was trying to blend them just right. You had to blend the colors together so that they looked realistic.

  I demonstrated the objective by using eyedropper tool to absorb the color from the original and than used the mix paint brush to paint the colors onto the layer I was painting my digital painting on and did that multiple times. If I could do this activity again I would change the picture that I did to something a little better and maybe something that can be a little more challenging next time.

  The strongest aspect of my work is the different colors. Its the strongest aspect because there are different shades of the colors and each color compliments the other color. Something that can be improved is the picture next time could be a little more clearer.

  The easiest part of this project was finding the colors and finding colors that mach good together. The difficult part of this project was finding the right tools to use to find different shades and make the colors really pop.

  The tools I used in this project are the magic wand tool which selects parts of the picture that you can color or delete if you wanted to. I used hue/saturation a lot in this project, it changes the colors that will still compliment each other. I used the levels tool and that changed parts of the picture and made some parts pop. If I did this project again I would change the coloring. I would change the coloring because even though I really like the colors I have on the picture I wish that I could make them pop and stand out a little more.

The strongest aspect of my work is the background, I splatter painted it and than inverted the colors and It made it really cool. It looks much better than the regular one I made originally. The aspect that could be improved is the font, and what I wrote. I could of used a quote or something to express our friendship but I just wrote our names.

 The thing that was easy about this art activity is finding the picture and placing the polaroids  around the pictures. The difficult thing was trying to decide how to make my project much better.

 I demonstrated the objective of this art activity by combining my photo and background to merge as one. I used multiple tools like the merge tool and magic wand. I used some filters for the background than inverted the colors to make it look awesome. If I could do this activity again I would do a different picture, with color. I would also make the polaroids more different sizes and put some polaroids more on the body than there are now.

    The strongest aspect of my work is the interesting design I drew. The lotus flower and the swirls that follow underneath it. I think its the strongest aspect because it is unique and the lotus flower is beautiful and it means to rise above the murk of darkness, it means that you will see past the bad to get to the good.

    The aspect that can be improved on is that I should of made it had color and it would of popped a lot more. I could of add a green or blue or pink coloring and each other represents something different. I would of had to chose a color that represents me and how.

     The easiest thing about this activity was coming up with an idea to draw. I couldn't choose between something, if I really wanted to do it but than I saw the lotus flower and thought it would be great since it is a unique type of flower.

    The most difficult part of the activity is that I can't draw so it was very difficult to finally get a decent drawing. It took me a few tries to get the right drawing and I just added things off of my drawing like the swirls.

    I demonstrated the objective by using the tools to make the tattoo look realistic. I warped the tattoo around my neck so it would look like its actually on there. And I blended it with my skin to make it look real.

   If I could do this activity again I would change the coloring and maybe add more designs. I really like how it came out. I would also change where I put the tattoo, even though it looks nice on the neck I feel like it would look a lot better on somewhere else.

  The strongest aspect of my work is all the different colors and how my background also represents something that I really like. This is my strongest aspect because it has detail. An aspect that can be improved on is the edges on pictures they should be softer and more rounded. If the edges were softer it would be easier to blend.

  The easiest part of this project was finding the 10 pictures, because you could do things that represent you as a person. The most difficult part of this project was trying to get them in the right positions and to try to get them look good.

  I demonstrated the objective by using alignment, contrast, proximity and different filters. I used my background as one of my pictures and I filtered it and kept over lapping it with filters, instead of having a regular red and white youtube logo I made it purple and blue. If I did this activity again I would change the pictures to blend even more than they are now and filter the pictures more. I wouldn't organize them as much I would let them be more "free."

 The strong aspect in my work is the diagonal line of C's going across the page on top of the other little c's. I than made them 3D to make them pop off the page. This is the strongest aspect because it allows those C's to stand out more than the other ones. The aspect in my work I can improve on is on the upper right side I didn't put anything and it is an empty space that should be filled. 

 The easiest part of this project was that you could easily figure out the letter and color scheme that you wanted. I picked C and the color scheme is a few different shades of pink and the main C's are a blue purple color. The most difficult part of this project was trying to figure out what to do with the letters and what pattern your going to do. And when you think your done but you realize you could add more things and make it so much better but you don't know how to make it work. 

I demonstrated the objectives in my project by using rule of thirds, contrast, alignment, and proximity. I used rule of thirds by not having anything directly in the middle of the screen. I used contrast by having large c's and getting smaller going down across the page. I used alignment by putting c's in a diagonal line going down. I used proximity by placing lower case c's in-between capital c's in the background. If I could do this activity again I would change the color scheme and letter and using more contrast to make them pop more.
